Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and will shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the subsequent criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home using a combined gross house income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined home earnings doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and wish not submit any evidence of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing nsfas status check middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to deliver the right Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or plan to study in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
